Visiting choir’s concert will support the hospice
Music will fill a Bury St Edmunds’ cathedral as singers stretch their vocal chords to help raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
The King’s Lynn Festival Chorus, who are this year celebrating their 40th anniversary, will be performing at St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Saturday, June 17, from 2pm to 3pm.
The occasion will feature a varied selection of music the chorus loves and has chosen especially to celebrate their 40th anniversary year.
With some of the choir’s long-standing members currently receiving treatment for cancer, the group have decided to support the hospice with a retiring collection.
George Chilvers, St Nicholas Hospice Care community fundraiser said: “Thank you to the King’s Lynn Festival Chorus who have kindly chosen to support St Nicholas Hospice Care with a retiring collection when they perform at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.
“The funds raised in this collection will go a long way to help our hospice to continue to provide the services those in our community in the final chapters of their lives need.”
