Steve and Jill Gardner welcome you to The Gardners, Tostock. The pub was built in 1530, it was previously named The Gardeners Arms after Squire Gardener, the Squire of Tostock. It is a beautifully timber framed building with a large inglenook fireplace, set on the village green in the heart of the village. We have been here for 8 years, and have recently changed the name to The Gardners. They say tongue in cheek, “Previously owned by a Squire now owned Peasants…..that’s us”.
Recently re-furbished bar area
The pub has recently been refurbished to increase the size of the restaurant area whilst retaining the charm of a real village pub.
The Charity Day has been a regular event over the years and this year the occasion coincides with Landlord Steve’s birthday. Steve currently has a very thick head of hair but at 5.30 on the June 10th that will all change as he will be shaved for Charity, will we be able to recognise him? The event will be raising money for EACH (East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice).
Always good fun and good food at The Gardners, Tostock
