Top Deep Purple/Led Zeppelin tribute band at the Apex
Purple Zeppelin play homage to two of the world’s greatest rock bands – putting the best of Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin together in a “full on” two and a half hour show, complete with costume changes which is coming to the Apex, in Bury St Edmunds, next month.
As featured in the BBC TV documentary ‘The Joy of the Guitar Riff’, Purple Zeppelin are four talented musicians with decades of playing between them. Voted Best Tribute Act of 2012 and 2015, the band are genuine admirers of both Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin. However, this is much more than just a band performing all the greatest hits – it’s a theatrical insight into these two giants of rock, complete with special effects, onstage ‘artistic differences’ and even some audience participation!
From ‘Strange Kind Of Woman’, ‘Black Night’ and ‘Smoke on The Water’ to ‘Kashmir’, ‘Whole Lotta Love’ and ‘Rock & Roll’, you’ll hear more than 30 classic songs in the show. Not forgetting Ritchie Blackmore’s Lute, Jimmy Page’s twin neck Guitar and Theremin, and a very special Violin Bow Solo!
Purple Zeppelin will perform at The Apex, on Saturday, July 1, at 7.30pm. Tickets are £19, call the Box Office on 01284 758000, or visit www.theapex.co.uk for more information, or to book your tickets.
