Come along and enjoy the first Friday Food Fest

There will be tasty foods, delicious drinks, a bar, live music and children’s entertainment at the first Friday Food Fest in Bury St Edmunds next month.

The Bury St Edmunds Market Traders in partnership with St Edmundsbury Borough Council, is putting on the showcase event on July 7.

Darren Old, from the Bury St Edmunds Market Traders, said: “This is really a chance to celebrate the summer and the rich, diverse mix of wonderful food and drink stalls that we have on our busy market here in Bury St Edmunds. We hope that people will come along, try some of the food and drink that we will have available to buy and enjoy the entertainment.”

The Friday Food Fest will feature over 15 food and drink stalls and will take place in The Cornhill from noon to 9pm.

Councillor Alaric Pugh, Cabinet Member for Planning and Growth, said: “We are very proud of our fantastic market here in Bury St Edmunds which attracts visitors to the town from far and wide and is part of the town’s continued success. So come along, bring your family, enjoy the live music and children’s entertainment,  and support the local market at this first Friday Food Fest.”
