Arc Shopping Centre’s summer at the movies
This summer holiday will see lots of fun and exciting activities at the Arc Shopping Centre, as part of their family fun events; providing children (and parents!) with free entertainment during the school holidays.
Each Monday, during the school holidays, they will be digging into the movie ‘arc’hives to host film themed appearances and activities for the family to enjoy.
Monday, July 24 – ‘Marvel’ at the superheroes that will visit the Arc; Batman and Spiderman*. The kids can make their friendship felt by stepping forward for a bright and brilliant photo with their favourite. With face painting, superhero capes and a bounce and slide too the kids will love becoming their new best friend.
Monday, July 31 – Best buddies Woody and Buzz* are your classic movie heroes, and best friends too. Together, they have fun and cause mischief, whilst bringing strong messages of friendship and courage to children. Plus lots of other fun surprises.
Monday, August 7 – Alice and The Mad Hatter* will be visiting from Wonderland and you can join them for a spot of ‘tea’ from their giant teapot!
Monday, August 14 – Prepare to be scared (and a little excited) to see our once-in-a-lifetime visit from a dinosaur. Roaming the centre for photos with their new prehistoric friend kids will be amazed by this animatronic dino.
Monday, August 21 – Princesses – the perfect friend. Both beautiful and brave, everyone can find their inner princess on this day. Meeting their favourite Disney* princess, they will be able to pose with them for a memorable photo and afterwards, they can have their own mini princess makeover, with face painting and a little crown to take home.
Arc Shopping Centre’s manager, Colin Roberts, is looking forward to the Summer at the Movies.
He said: “Our summer family events are a great way for kids to meet new friends and get involved with the different characters and competitions. We are proud that we can offer free entertainment for families over the school holidays. The activities that the kiddies will engage with will be a lot of fun; this summer is no exception and will be very exciting.”
*As the real characters are tied up making movies, it will be good friends popping in to meet and greet the kids.
