The show at The Apex belonged to the girls with their fabulous exhibition

Review: An Evening of Burlesque, The Apex, Bury St Edmunds, Friday, July 14

I’m not sure Bury St Edmunds has seen anything like this before.

A bevy of beauties, fabulous costumes, sizzling routines … naughty has never been this nice.

It was a show that thrilled an almost packed Apex (some more raucous than others) as the girls, along with host Christian Lee and the appropriately named Bruce Airhead, who performed an imaginative routine inside a huge balloon, entertained a host of burlesque virgins.

Described as the UK’s biggest burlesque extravaganza it had it all: sensual and exotic dancing, gorgeous girls who could move every part of their bodies imaginatively, comedy, magic and circus.

It put the emphasis on tease not sleaze and was beautiful, knowing and wicked.

The host for the evening worked the audience with great aplomb but it was the girls who stole the show.
