Cycling from Bury St Edmunds to Ambleside in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care
Colleagues will be using pedal power to raise pounds in aid of a local hospice.
Staff at the Bury St Edmunds Cotswold branch will be doing their bit for charity on Wednesday, August 16, with a charity bike challenge.
Using an exercise bike, the team have decided to cover the distance from their Abbeygate Street store to the company’s Ambleside branch in Cumbria – a distance of more than 280 miles.
The team will have one day to complete their journey and would welcome anyone who wants to come along and watch them working up a sweat as they raise funds for St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Abby Mayes, St Nicholas Hospice Care corporate fundraiser said: “Good luck to the Cotswold team.
“To be able to provide the services we do to those in our community with long-term and life-threatening illnesses we need to fundraise more than £11,000 everyday, and we couldn’t do that without the community’s support, fundraisers like the Cotswold team really do make a huge difference.
“I hope as many people as possible will go along on the day to offer their support.”
