Hospice’s annual walk for women inspires Muse
A multi award-winning photographic studio is raising funds to support a local hospice by offering a portrait session and framed photo for families to treasure.
Muse Portraits is offering supporters of St Nicholas Hospice Care a picture perfect photo package waiving their usual fee in return for a £20 donation to the charity which cares for those across west Suffolk and Thetford experiencing long-term and life-threatening illnesses.
Limited to the first 50 supporters to register, participants will enjoy a one hour photographic studio session with Muse Portraits owner, Alex Kilbee, with the package, usually costing £200, including a photographic studio portrait and a 7ins desk portrait.
Alex was inspired to support the charity after visiting its Bury St Edmunds hospice and finding out more about its biggest fundraiser Girls Night Out, which returns on Saturday, September 9.
Alex said: “St Nicholas Hospice Care is such a great organisation, providing advice and support for people who are in the final chapters of their life – and their families.
“We wanted to help raise money by creating beautiful, fine art portraits, for charity supporters and the fantastic Girls Night Out walkers to treasure.
“The process is simple. Visit www.museportraits.co.uk to register and we will be in touch to book in your portrait session.”
To date more than 2,200 women have signed-up for Girls Night Out, pledging to don their flashing bunny ears and walk either 11.2 or six miles around the town to raise funds for the hospice.
You can still sign-up to take part in Girls Night Out with registration forms available from hospice shops or you can sign up online at www.stnicholashospicecare.org.uk.
