Treasure Island Youth Theatre auditions at the Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds
Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds, is casting its youth production of Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson.
It is looking for budding actors, singers and dancers to audition for the production aged between nine and 22 and particularly interested in those with a flair for comedy, character roles and play a musical instrument. The first round of auditions are on Saturday, November 4, between 2pm and 6pm.
This is the first adaptation of Treasure Island by Phil Willmott with great parts for both male and female performers. The production will also feature original music by David Lewington who worked with the theatre recently as musical director on Our Day Out. The rehearsal period will be from January 9 to April 5, leading towards four performances from April 5 to 7.
You will be required to work weekly on Tuesday evenings from 5pm to 9pm and also be prepared to work extra dates as we near the production including some weekends.
