Witness appeal following ram raid in Lavenham

Suffolk Police are issuing a further appeal for witnesses following a ram raid in Lavenham in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The crime took place at the Co-op Foodstore on the High Street on Thursday, October 21, at 1.15am, when offenders drove a Subaru into the store.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Power at Suffolk Police said: “Cash has been removed from store ATMs by the victim as a security measure and our investigation into this incident is continuing. We are interested in hearing from anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in or around the area at 1.15am on Thursday 21 October.

‘One of the offenders is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, medium build and speaking with an English accent. He is described as wearing a dark top, light grey or white trousers and a black balaclava and was reported to have left the scene in the direction of Water Street in Lavenham.”
