SK Clinic and Spa gives a boost to the My Wish Charity’s Every Heart Matters appeal

The annual Christmas party held at SK Clinic & Spa, in Bury St Edmunds, has raised nearly £300 for the My WiSH Charity’s Every Heart Matters appeal.

The event was held at the clinic in Northgate Street and was attended by over 100 people.

And following a raffle and donations a total of £292.50 was collected for the appeal.

Manager Caroline Botterall said: “We have an annual Christmas party and we also had canapes and fizz along with mini treatments and we intend to have a similar event in the summer.

“The appeal is important especially if you have to travel as its so much more beneficial to be able to say close to your home and family when being treated.”

The appeal aims to raise £500,000 to build a brand new cardiac diagnostic unit at the hospital.

The West Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust is investing £5.2m in developing a state of the art cardiac suite that will provide quicker access to more treatments, but the £500,000 My WiSH Charity is hoping to raise will lead to the whole unit, which is currently fragmented on different floors, being brought together in one purpose-built centre.
