Body of man discovered near Leavenheath

Police searching for missing 52-year-old Richard Hull can confirm that the body of a man was discovered near to Leavenheath this afternoon, Sunday January 21.

Officers, assisted by joined by members of Suffolk Lowland Search & Rescue and specialist search dogs conducted a search of the area today. The body of a man was later discovered in a wooded area close to the town earlier this afternoon.

A scene is currently in place and investigations continue into the circumstances leading up to the man’s death.

Formal identification is yet to take place but the man is believed to be missing person Richard Hull, who was reported missing to police yesterday, Saturday, January 20.

A file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
