Christopher Biggins to host charity evening at the Theatre Royal

The Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds, and the My WiSH Charity, who support West Suffolk Hospital, are presenting a gala evening of cabaret, comedy, West End show routines and celebrity guests as a joint fundraiser to support the theatre and West Suffolk Hospital’s new cardiac unit, on Sunday, March 25.

As well as the previously announced line-up, including Alex Jennings, Robert Glenister, Frankie Dettori and Yvonne Howard, as well as stars of the West End stage, the compere for the evening has been announced.

Fresh from his last ever performance as a Dame, pantomime legend Christopher Biggins will be the master of ceremonies.

With his larger than life personality, the ‘King of The Jungle’ will preside over this fun-filled unmissable evening. Chris has appeared in many British television classics and in theatre from Shakespeare to musicals all over the world. With his warmth and personality he was crowned King Of The Jungle in ITV’s I’m A Celebrity – Get Me Out Of Here and is a regular guest on a variety of TV programmes.

Also appearing will be Chris Clarkson – after his fabulous and universally loved performance as Dame Winona Whittington in Dick Whittington.

Chris has an impressive wealth of theatre credits to his name including a string of pantomimes all around the country, he is also a regular on TV and has been a guest presenter on BBC’s The One Show.

Tickets for this special gala event include a pre-show reception starting at 6.30pm.
