Golf In Suffolk – Winter Alliance at Hintlesham Golf Club

The Suffolk Winter Alliance were at Hintlesham Golf Club for the latest meeting on Valentines Day.

With only winter tyres allowed on trollies, 63 players including one Professional played on the Hintlesham course that was in good condition for the time of year.  On a windy and cold day, the Four Ball Better Ball Competition, for the John Whiting Trophy, was won by the Stoke by Nayland pairing of Ian Benson and Trevor Warren with 45 points, included in this score was an eagle three, by Trevor,  on the par five third hole. The Professional prize was won by Sam Forgan of Stowmarket with a two under par 70.
