Flamenco on stage at the Theatre Royal next month

The Theatre Royal, in Bury St Edmunds is welcoming the passionate Spanish artistry of Mi Flamenco Company with their new show Incognito.

Strong, flavourful flamenco in all its authenticity, wrapped in charm, beauty and the unexpected is on stage on Tuesday, March 27.

With a staggeringly positive response from audience members and near sell-out tour in 2016, Mi Flamenco are back on the road with this new production bringing a cast of five aiming to move, inspire and entertain.

Featuring explosive dance by Ester Tal and Kelian Jimenez, the amazing voice of Luis Vargas Monge (El Mono) and beautiful music, composed and played by Uri Tal on guitar and Nick Squires on cello. From first flamenco experience to aficionado, or for those who simply love theatre, dance, music or all of the above; Incognito is not to be missed.

Ester, who is also the producer and artistic director of Mi Flamenco, says: “This show embraces what flamenco is and invites the audience into intimate spaces with the artists. Incognito embraces a sense of theatre – and flamenco’s drama, beauty, intrigue, narrative and humour.

“This new production keeps the flamenco authentic, but simultaneously reaches out to new audiences in new ways. We think that there are many people out there, who have not experienced quality flamenco and maybe have a stereotypical idea of what it is. Incognito is unexpected, with moments of delight and beauty that we hope will go towards changing this.”

Tickets are on sale at the Box Office, call 01284 769505, book online at www.theatreroyal.org/shows/incognito/ or visit the theatre in person.
