St Nicholas Hospice Care on the lookout for daring skydivers
St Nicholas Hospice Care is on the lookout for fundraisers with a head for heights to help make sure their charity skydive day soars.
For those willing to take their leap of faith from 10,000ft all in the name of a good cause the hospice will be holding its skydive day at Beccles Airfield on Sunday, July 15.
The tandem skydive will see supporters fall 1,000 feet every eight seconds to make a difference to those across West Suffolk, and Thetford in the final chapters of their lives.
Charlie De-Moore, the hospice’s events fundraiser, said: “For a lot of people completing a skydive is a bucket list challenge. By taking part in our skydive day not only will you be ticking something off the list you will also be helping to raise funds for a great cause too.”
Last year the day, which saw £5,592 raised for the charity, saw 18 daring supporters throw themselves out of a plane to add to the overall total.
Those wanting to take part can either pay for the jump themselves at £200, with anything else raised as sponsorship for the hospice, or the charity can pay for your jump, but you must raise a minimum of £300.
For more information, please contact Charlie De-Moore, events fundraiser, by emailing charlie.de-moore@stnh.org.uk or telephoning 01284 715599.
