A car rolled onto its side during a crash on a flooded part of the A14 in Suffolk this morning.
One lane of the westbound carriageway in Bury St Edmunds was shut following the collision involving a Fiat 500 shortly before 6am.
The driver – believed to be a man – suffered injuries that were not thought to have been serious.
Suffolk Constabulary spokeswoman said, “The road in the area of the crash was severely flooded due to heavy rainfall and blocked drains”.
Three fire crews – two from Bury St Edmunds and one from Elmswell – attended the scene along with police and ambulance crews.
The road was clear by 6.40am.
Police have worked to unblocked the drains.
