Charitable comedy night for hospice

A fundraiser has high hopes his comedy night will raise a few laughs and plenty of cash for a local hospice.

Tony West wants his comedy night in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care to become an annual event.

Taking place at the Delphi Social Club, in Alexandra Road, Sudbury, Tony says he feels holding the occasion, which takes place on October 27, is his way of giving something back to the charity.

Tony said: “The reason behind me doing this is I lost both my parents a few years back. My dad was in the hospice and they did the utmost best they could for him.”

The night is also set to include a raffle and auction, with all funds raised going to the charity, which provides care and support for those across the area with long-term and life-threatening illnesses.

Tickets, which are already on sale, cost £15 if you would like to sit in the first two rows, with all other seats priced at £10.  Tickets are available from Tony on 07826 640860.
