Series of new apprenticeship courses at the West Suffolk College

The West Suffolk College is offering a series of new apprenticeship courses which are starting from this September.
They include laboratory and engineering technicians, dental nursing, accounts assistants and working in HR.

The Level 4 Procurement & Supply apprenticeship is designed for those who are working within a procurement/purchasing team or department and wish to enhance their skills and become qualified. It is also designed for organisations who require a new position to be supported with professional training.  Learners will attend classes to complete the CIPS Level 4 Diploma.

Level 3 & 5 HR is designed for personnel who are new to HR or to those who have some experience and want to enhance their knowledge.  Both will contain a formal CIPD qualification.

Level 3 Laboratory Technician is designed to give apprentices the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to work in a laboratory or research facility.  Delivery is available in both Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge.

Level 3 Engineering Technician is a 42-month apprenticeship and will support those new to the world of engineering or those who would like to upskill and learn new up-to-date theories and practices. The apprentice will be required to complete core practical units together with a technical competency qualification one day a week for four years at the Bury St Edmunds site.

Level 3 Accounts Assistant allows learners to expand their skills and knowledge within their role alongside attending lessons once a week to study for the Level 3 AAT Diploma in Accounting with classes taking place Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich.

Level 3 Dental Nurse is where learners will gain theoretical knowledge of being a Dental Nurse whilst attending West Suffolk College one day per week.  They will embed what they have learnt in the workplace to ensure they have the sufficient knowledge, skills and behaviours to take their End Point Assessment and become a fully qualified and registered Dental Nurse.
