The leader and deputy leader of Babergh District Council are continuing their successful public Question Time events with a visit to Bures on Saturday, July 28.
The councillors are inviting people who live and work in the area to ask questions about the council’s work at the event in Bures Village Hall, at Bures Community Centre, Nayland Road, Bures, CO8 5BX, which will be held between 10am and noon.
Bures has been chosen as the location for the fourth public question time event to be held by the John Ward and Jan Osborne.
Councillor Ward said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive response at these Question Time events, and the enthusiasm with which residents have taken up the chance to speak with us directly. It’s helped us understand the concerns in the district and I hope we’ve also helped those who have come to us with questions. Now we’ve started we’re going to keep going and I hope to see even more people come out to talk to us in Bures on Saturday.”
This event follows the success of similar question and answer sessions held in Sudbury, Hadleigh and Shotley.
Future events are being planned in Lavenham, Glemsford, East Bergholt and Great Cornard.
