Boy is robbed of cash and mobile phone in Bury St Edmunds

Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery in Bury St Edmunds.

The incident took place, yesterday, Tuesday, September 12, sometime between 12.30pm and 12.45 pm yesterday lunchtime on St Olave’s Road, near to the junction with Hunter Road.

It is reported that the victim, a teenage boy, was approach by a man
who threatened him and demanded that he hand over property.

The boy gave cash and a mobile phone to the man who then ran off in  the direction of the park.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft 3ins tall, medium build, with a ‘rough’ complexion, who was wearing a grey or black hooded top, black jeans and black Adidas shoes.

The victim was unharmed as a result of the incident.

Police believe this to have been a targeted attack.
