Dutch youngsters step into shoes of college students

A group of Dutch youngsters have experienced a day in the life of a Suffolk student thanks to a new college-based partnership.

West Suffolk College teamed up with Xplore the World to host the Dutch school students from Carmel College, in Essen.

The students visited a number of “varied and active” classes around the college including automotive, hair, beauty, media make up, hospitality, film and media and science.

They also took part in an interactive session of musical theatre in the college’s Conservatoire East.

Clare Hall, careers advisor at West Suffolk College said: “We were privileged to host the school for their first visit to an educational establishment in the UK – they were all very polite and engaging.

“It was great to showcase what West Suffolk College offers and our values and we hope to continue working in partnership with the Xplore the World programme.”
