The “Dad’s Army – Radio Hour” show is coming to the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds next month.
It’s being staged by Seabright Productions where two actors mimic 25 characters from the show in three classic episodes, performed in the style of a radio recording from Wednesday to Thursday, November 14 to 15.
Celebrating 50 years of Croft and Perry’s quintessential sitcom Dad’s Army, which won Gold’s Best One-Liner award in a poll of comedians, with the immortal words “Don’t tell him, Pike” – the show is now on tour after sell-out London and Edinburgh seasons. Packed with favourite lines, cherished characters and great feats of vocal impersonation.
Starring double Fringe First Award winner David Benson and Jack Lane – the pair will seamlessly play the characters in this new staging of three classic scripts based on favourite episodes from the TV series: ‘Mum’s Army’, ‘The Deadly Attachment’ and ‘Round and Round Went The Great Big Wheel’.
