Boogie Night returns to the Apex later this month and feature the songs from Odyssey, the Boney M Experience, the Miami Sunshine Band and Gee Bello.
They will be on stage on Friday, January 26, and it promises to be a fun party night.
Odyssey are hailed as “The Masters of Funk” and fly in from New York to play hits such as ‘Use It Up Wear It Out’, ‘Going Back to My Roots‘ and ‘Native New Yorker’.
The group began as the “Lopez Sisters”, including Steven Collazo’s mother, Lillian Lopez.
Steven worked behind the scenes, moving up to co-front the group in 1994 as they toured throughout the United Kingdom, Europe and the Middle East.
Sadly Lillian died of cancer in 2012 but Steven continues his mother’s legacy sharing the stage with Romina Johnson, who’s known her own success with producer Artful Dodger on the hit single ‘Movin Too Fast’, and international entertainer Jerdene Wilson.
Sheyla Bonnick’s Boney M Experience is a celebration of the legendary 1970’s pop group.
Sheyla was an original member of the line-up, but left just before they hit the big time. She has presented her Boney M show for over 20 years. Here, she’ll perform hits including ‘Daddy Cool’, ‘Sunny’, ‘Rasputin’ and many more.
The Miami Sunshine Band is an 11-piece band paying tribute to the disco-funk band, KC & The Sunshine Band. They will recreate hits including, ‘Shake Shake Shake – Shake your Booty’, ‘Get Down Tonight’, ‘Baby Please Don’t Go’ and many more.
Gee Bello looks and sounds like Erroll Brown, the charismatic Hot Chocolate front-man, and performs classic songs, such as ‘You Sexy Thing’, ‘It Started With a Kiss’ and ‘Every One’s a Winner’.
