A local hospice is inviting everyone to put on their blue suede shoes and get down to the spectacular Elvis Presley tribute show, St Nic’s does Elvis.
St Nic’s Does Elvis, a St Nicholas Hospice Care fundraising event, promises to be an entertaining evening of singing and dancing to classic hits such as “All Shook Up”, “Hound Dog” and “Blue Suede Shoes” just to name a few.
One of the UK’s finest Elvis tribute artists, Fisher Stevens, will be getting the audience rocking in the St Edmundsbury Masonic Centre, in Bury St Edmunds, on Saturday, April 13.
John Maxim, event organiser said: “It will be a fantastic evening of dancing from 7.30pm to midnight to Fisher Stevens as Elvis and there will be a disco too. There will also be a raffle with top prizes and auction with donated lots including a fly around Snetterton race track in a McLaren car.”
Miranda McCoy, community fundraiser, St Nicholas Hospice Care said: “Last year’s St Nic’s Does Elvis was fantastic. It was wonderful to see so many people enjoying themselves while supporting the hospice. Thanks to everyone who came along on the night and the support of event organisers John Maxim and Tracey Ormrod, the evening raised more than £8,500.”
Tickets cost £35 per person and includes a two-course meal.
Proceeds from the event will go towards St Nicholas Hospice Care. The hospice supports people in West Suffolk and Thetford living with dying, death and grief.
