Police are linking two burglaries in Elmswell

Raiders have struck twice in the space of a couple of days at homes in Elmswell with money and jewellery among the items stolen and police are linking the incidents.

The first break-in occurred between 5pm and 10pm on Friday, April 12, at a house in Oxer Close, where the glass in a rear door was smashed to gain entry to the property and money, jewellery and electrical items were stolen.

The second incident took place at some time between 5pm on Friday, April 12, and 1.30pm the following day at an address in Bennett Avenue. Entry was again achieved by smashing the glass in a rear door and jewellery, cash and an aluminium baseball bat were stolen from within.

Detectives believe that these crimes are linked and are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the village to contact them.
