Police today named the pedestrian who died in a road traffic collision in Great Barton earlier this month.
Officers were called at just after 11am, on Monday, July 1, to a report of a collision between a lorry and a pedestrian on the A143 in the village.
Pending formal Coroner’s inquest proceedings, the deceased has been identified as Egidijus Linauskas who was 35 years old and of no fixed abode. He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries but he died on Thursday, July 11.
A 35-year-old man arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of dangerous driving has been released under investigation.
