A14 closed as pedestrian involved in collision with a ‘number of vehicles’

A pedestrian was involved in an accident on the A14 at Woolpit this morning (Saturday, August 10) with the road having to be closed.

Police were called at just after 5.00am to reports of a collision on the westbound A14 involving a pedestrian and a number of vehicles.

Officers remain at the scene and the westbound carriageway of the A14 between junction 51 (A140 Beacon Hill) and junction 47 (Woolpit) is closed and expected to remain shut for several hours.

Diversions have been put in place but motorists are being asked to use another route if possible.
