The kettle will be boiling all in the name of a good cause as a group of friends come together to host a coffee morning.
The group, from Abbeycroft’s Brandon Leisure Centre, are planning a coffee morning and bake sale on Tuesday, October 15, in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care, and hope as many people as possible will be able to join them.
One of the organisers Susan Nutt said: “We usually raise money from coffee mornings and bake sales a couple of times each year and decided that we would like to support the hospice this time. One of the group has a friend who have been helped by the hospice.”
The coffee morning will run from 10am to noon, with all funds raised going to help the charity, which supports people across West Suffolk and South Norfolk living with dying, death and grief. There will also be a raffle and competition too.
Miranda McCoy, St Nicholas Hospice Care’s community fundraiser, said: “We are so grateful to Susan and all of the friends from Brandon Leisure Centre for thinking of the hospice. Without the support of our community, we would not be able to continue caring for the people we need to. I hope lots of people can make time to pop along and enjoy coffee and scrumptious cakes on October 15 all in the name of St Nics!
“I’d also like to say thank you to Abbeycroft for kindly supporting us by allowing the use of their venue.”
