A 52-year-old woman who was arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Little Stonham at the weekend has been released on bail, as officers continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police were called to the Magpie Inn, on Norwich Road, by the ambulance service just before 3.30am yesterday morning, Sunday, November 10.
A woman was reported to be unresponsive and was receiving treatment from paramedics, but sadly died at the scene at short time later.
A Home Office Post Mortem examination conducted yesterday was inconclusive and further tests are required.
The deceased, who was aged 45-years-old, has not yet been formally identified. A police scene which was in place at the premises has now been lifted.
The 52-year-old woman, who comes from Dagenham, was arrested on suspicion of murder by officers at the scene of the incident yesterday morning.
She was taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning and has subsequently been released on bail until Sunday, December 8, pending further enquires.
