Charity shop gets set for annual Christmas Fayre

Christmas cheer will fill a Mildenhall charity shop to help kick off the festive season and raise funds for a good cause.

St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Mildenhall shop, in Mill Street, is hosting its Christmas Fayre from November 29 to December 1, when shoppers can get cracking with their Christmas shopping by picking up gifts, decorations and much more.

Karen Beale, the shop’s manager, said staff and volunteers were already looking forward to welcoming visitors into the shop to enjoy the festive fun.

Karen said: “It is now 11 years since our first Christmas Fayre in the Mildenhall shop. We started our first one in the small shop in Market Square and had an amazing response, then moving to our much bigger shop on Mill Street this gave us so much more scope to create our annual event.

“All these years later and it has become an exciting event in our shop. This year is no exception; we will still be filling every corner of the shop with toys, gifts, decorations, Christmas trees and so much more.

“The beauty of all of this is you find lots of affordable items for Christmas while helping raise money.”

In addition to a good selection of fundraising Christmas cards, gifts, toys, and decorations, on the Sunday there will also be a raffle.

The Christmas Fayre opening times are from 9am to 5pm on Friday and Saturday and 11am to 3pm on the Sunday.
