Viking combat group on the lookout for new members

A Stowmarket-based Viking combat group are on the lookout for new members.

Blodorn Englar fight across Europe taking part in competitive full contact Dark Age combat.

A spokesman for the group said: “Are you finding yourself lost for something to do over winter? Want to try to keep fit but the nights are drawing in? Join Blodorn Englar.

“Using authentic equipment and weapons (blunted obviously) we train on a weekly basis to stay on top of our game. The bonds forged in the fight hold beyond that, we have all made great friendships and it is a brotherhood.”

Anyone interested can go along to one of their training sessions which take place every Sunday from 10am to 12.30pm at Alder Carr Farm, in Creeting St Mary.
