23-year-old suffers fractured jaw following assault at bus station

A 23-year-old man was attacked outside the bus station in St Andrews Street North, Bury St Edmunds, and suffered a fractured jaw.

Now police are appealing for witnesses to the assault that took place  on Saturday, November 23, at about 8.30pm.

Just prior to the incident a verbal altercation between the victim and a group of males had taken place. One of the males took hold of the victim’s shirt and as the victim went to walk away another male dressed all in dark clothing punched him in the face. The group then run away to the Wilco car park.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, saw any suspicious behaviour or has knowledge of the incident should contact Bury St Edmunds police, quoting crime reference 37/71353/19
