The popular Theatre Royal- Bury St Edmunds Golf Day this year will be held at Stowmarket Golf Club on Thursday April 9th 2020. The planning this year for this huge event is steeped in controversy as the Peter Pan Pantomime-Dame Tiger Lily aka actor Chris Clarkson has put a strong case that he should be playing from the ladies Tee and receiving the 1 courtesy shot that all the ladies receive.

Golf Day organisor, Ian Duncan comments, “It is a real headache because I understand the point that Tiger Lily raises. I will seriously consider the request and obviously make a decision shortly before the event.  I really need time to consider the precedence that the situation raises. My first thoughts are to allow the request but subject to Tiger Lily playing in full panto outfit and make up”.

The Theatre Royal Golf Day is one of the largest Charity events in the eastern region is in its 10th year having raised many thousands for the Theatre and its community involvement.
