Sweet Home Bury St Edmunds as the Chicago Blues Brothers Rock the Apex

Bury St Edmunds held its biggest party of the year so far on Saturday night at the Apex when the fabulous award winning Chicago Blues Brothers brought us all A Night at the Movies. The brilliant performance was led by Elwood (Gareth Davey) and Jake (Chris Hindle) and supported by the superb CBB band and the Sweet Soul Sisters. From 7.30 until 10.00 it was a relentless party with people dancing in the aisles to hits from the Blues Brothers, Footloose, The Full Monty, Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, A Star Is Born, The Greatest Showman and featuring songs from Aretha Franklin, the Four Tops and many classics. The many highlights included the great Cab Callaway’s Minnie the Moocher, Sweet Home Chicago, Shake a Tail Feather and a rocking version of Johnny Be Good followed by Give Me Some Lovin.
This was the 5th year that the Chicago Blues Brother has visited Bury with their award-winning spectacular. It is Europe’s biggest and best-loved production of the Blues Brothers and they like coming to Bury so look out for them next year well worth a visit to the Apex.
