Business backs hospice and raises thousands

A generous business has given a local charity a helping hand by raising thousands of pounds after choosing them as a key charity to support.
Having worked closely with St Nicholas Hospice Care during 2019, Treatt has raised £3,470 for the hospice, which supports those across the area living with dying, death and grief.
The business, which is currently based in Northern Way, chose the hospice as many of their staff have been touched by the charity and they were keen to support a local cause.
Chloe Ludkin, the Executive PA to Treatt’s CEO, said: “We are so pleased to have been able to support the hospice in this way.
“The hospice is an important local charity and one that is close to the hearts of many of our staff and their families. We hope this money makes a big difference.”
Treatt have worked closely with the hospice for many years; entering teams for the Girls Night Out walk, arranging drop-in sessions and educational talks for staff, and recently joining their Compassionate Companies initiative.
Rachel Card, the hospice’s corporate fundraiser, said: “We are so grateful to everyone at Treatt for their continued support and generosity.
“Every day we need to fundraise £11,000 to ensure the hospice can continue providing the services it does and support from businesses really makes a big difference.”
