Man dies in crash on A140 road which is set to close overnight

A man has died in a road traffic collision that took place at Little Stonham earlier today, Thursday, February 6.
Officers were called to the A140 at about 3.30pm after reports of a collision between a HGV lorry and a van.
Emergency services, including the fire service and air ambulance, were called to the scene.
The male driver of the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the HGV lorry was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, by air ambulance for treatment to suspected broken wrists.
The road remains closed and is likely to remain so overnight while initial investigations continue and the two vehicles are removed from the scene of the collision. Drivers are asked to find alternative routes in the meantime.
