Barbara Streisand tribute act coming to Theatre Royal

The legendary Barbara Streisand, the star of music and film, is the subject of a tribute act coming to the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds, next month.

“Streisand. The Music. The Lady. The Legend” takes place on Thursday, March 5, will be showcased by songwriter, musician and artist, Winter.

Live performances of the star’s hits will be interspersed with anecdotes and banter with the audience.

Barbara Streisand is an American singer, songwriter, actress and filmmaker with a career spanning six decades. She is also one of the best-selling recording artists of all time, with more than 68 million albums sold in the US alone and a total of 150 million albums and singles sold worldwide. With the release of Yentl in 1983, Streisand became the first woman to write, produce, direct, and star in a major studio film.

Winter is a vocalist who, when performing material made famous by the greatest song interpreters, instils a modern and intriguing edge that captures the attention. Her inspirations are varied but especially include Barbra Streisand and Edith Piaf. They combine a superbly professional standard of singing with a highly emotive and at times brutally honest method of delivery.

Join Winter as she combines her superb pitch and quality vocals with her delivery of some of the most beautifully crafted songs ever written or performed such as “Send In The Clowns”, “Don’t Rain on my Parade”, “Woman In Love”, “Evergreen”, “Tell Him”, “The Way We Were” and many more.

Accompanied by music performed by a live band complete with the depth of double bass, keys and violin, this promises to be a wonderful evening of music not to be missed.
