Cambridgeshire Events launched at Newmarket’s historic Jockey Club Rooms
Several of the East of England’s most iconic and high-quality conference and event venues have been brought together under the banner of Cambridgeshire Events, which was officially launched at The Jockey Club Rooms, in Newmarket.
Powered by The Jockey Club, Cambridgeshire Events combines a number of outstanding hospitality and conference and events venues.
Their portfolio comprises 50 conference and meeting suites and 45 en suite bedrooms across a range of venues steeped in history and managed by a team of highly-experienced event organisers. These spaces also make for ideal exhibition areas, provide filming locations or act as the perfect outdoor team building locations.
Newmarket Racecourses’ Rowley Mile heads up the portfolio which has staged racing for more than 350 years and combines modern amenities, housed within its Millennium Grandstand, with rich, British sporting heritage.
The nearby Jockey Club Rooms (pictured above) is equally steeped in history, being the birthplace of racing as we know it today. Home to the sport’s most breathtaking collection of equine art, its corridors and meeting rooms have hosted Royalty and dignitaries for centuries.
Also in the heart of Newmarket, The National Horseracing Museum, at Palace House, offers an array of spaces to cater for a range of event needs, while The National Stud boasts a sprawling, rural setting perfect for seminars, meetings, workshops, conferences and more.
Huntingdon Racecourse completes the portfolio, with 175 acres and six meeting and conference rooms available for a multitude of indoor and outdoor events throughout the year.
Hannah Grosvenor (pictured), Regional Head of Sales for The Jockey Club’s East Region, said: “Our venues have been working together for a long time and many businesses will already be familiar with the world-class hospitality on offer across our portfolio.
“However, by creating Cambridgeshire Events, our goal is to provide a one-stop shop to meet all of our customers’ need as we continue to seek to be recognised as the conference destination of choice in our region.”
