Gas leak leads to closure of busy road in Bury St Edmunds
A gas leak in Bury St Edmunds has led to the closure of a busy road until this coming Friday, March 13.
It has led to diversions for traffic close to the railway station and is set to cause hold ups for motorists during the week.
Cadent found the source of a gas leak beneath Tayfen Road and closed the road from the Out Northgate roundabout to the Station Hill roundabout with vehicles redirected via Station Hill.
It is expected to cause extra traffic as Tayfen Road is part of a diversion route for the ongoing Angel Hill roadworks which are due to finish on March 27.
