Infusions hit by fire at its premises on the Rougham Industrial Estate

The Infusions business, on the Rougham Industrial Estate, has been dealt a body blow today, Saturday, March 21, as the result of a fire at its premises.
It broke out at 9.35am this morning and resulted in six fire engines called to the building. Three came from Bury St Edmunds, one from Stowmarket, one from Ixworth and one from Ipswich.
The fire appears to have affected the Infusions unit – which is a specialist cookery school, restaurant and supplier.
It started in the Infusions unit and spread to neighbouring units, including the Ice Café but crews had started to leave the scene by 11.20am.
A message on Ice Cafe’s twitter account read: “We are devastated to report that we have had a very serious fire in our building. All our infrastructure is affected and everything temporarily suspended while the Fire Brigade get things under control. Everybody is out of the building and everyone is safe but we are all very heartbroken. Thank you for the messages of love and support and for your patience while we find a way forward.
“Due to the fire we are suspending our ICE Café takeaway service for the foreseeable future. Our click and collect service in I4C is still up and running, but please please be patient with us during this difficult time.”
An investigation is pending into the cause of the incident.
