Tesco store opens early just for NHS staff

The main Tesco store, in Bury St Edmunds, is opening its store at 8.30am tomorrow, Sunday, March 22, for NHS staff only who will need to show their ID’s to shop early and the tills will then open from 10am.

Wyken Fish will be at the Moreton Hall Community Centre car park on Thursday, March 26, selling fresh and frozen fish between 10am and noon.

The Moreton Hall Fish and Kebab shop will be remaining open Monday to Saturday and welcoming all of its customers from 11am until 9.30pm.

Staff are continuing to deep clean and washing their hands on a regular basis and it is also carrying out a free delivery service. Just turn up at the shop but there will be no card payments …  just cash at the door.

The Pykkerell Inn, in the High Street, in Ixworth, is offering a takeaway/delivery menu.

Its Courtyard Cafe will also be putting a menu up today and said on its Facebook page: “Where possible we ask that you use our takeaway service and leave the delivery option for the more vulnerable and those self isolating. Orders can be placed by phone, email, message on here (Facebook) or text. If you cannot get through on the landline (01394 230398) please use 07969 537973.”

They are also doing takeaway drinks and if you have a suitable container they can also do e can draught beers.
