Knife-point robbery of Co-op store in Bury St Edmunds
There has been a knife-point robbery at the Co-op store, on Risbygate, in Bury St Edmunds, which prompted an armed response by police
It took place at about 4.50pm yesterday, Saturday, March 28, by a lone male.
He threatened staff with a knife before he stole plastic trays from the till containing cash.
He is described as a white male, 6ft tall in his 20s who then fled in the direction of Albert Crescent.
The incident initiated an armed police response and an extensive search of the area was carried out with a negative result.
Police are appealing for witnesses in connection with this robbery and ask any witnesses telephone 101 and quote CAD reference 233 of 28 March 2020.
