Denny Bros welcomes new director on board

Denny Bros have announced that long-serving member of staff Ashley Simpson will be joining the board of directors.

Ashley first started at the family-run company 15 years ago on work placement as part of his business degree. He then returned to Denny Bros on a management trainee position which saw him rise to become commercial manager.

Upon being offered a place on the board at the Bury St Edmunds company, Ashley said he was delighted to accept the position.

Ashley, 35, who lives in Gedding, admitted: “I’m honoured to have been invited to join the board, it was a surreal and exciting moment when I was first asked. I’m proud to work for a company that manufacturers goods in the UK. Denny Bros has a fantastic reputation within the print industry, providing solutions to packaging challenges, and I want to continue to contribute positively to this reputation.

“I have always wanted to make a difference in my career, to customers, the company and within the market sector, and I look forward to working closely with all the directors to continue to drive Denny Bros forward.”

Ashley initially spent a year at the company at its Bury St Edmunds headquarters in 2005 as part of his business degree – impressing so much that he was offered a full-time role a year later within the internal sales team.

He said: “I have enjoyed developing professionally at Denny Bros and seeing my career progress in my home town shows there are opportunities in this region. As a family-run company, I have been given the opportunity to learn different aspects of the business and this has helped me develop my business ‘knowhow’.

“While there have been challenges over the last couple of months, due to the Covid19 pandemic, and the UK economy is in a phase of adapting, Denny Bros reacted quickly and has been able to be flexible and prioritise different markets accordingly.

“I am confident of even more positive times ahead and I look forward to supporting with that every step of the way.”
