Man in court charged with 11 offences including burglary, theft and fraud

A man from Bury St Edmunds has been arrested and charged in connection with 11 offences and has been taken to the town’s Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

David Parker, aged 45, of Lancaster Avenue, was charged with eight counts of fraud by using a bank card on June 14 to buy goods totalling £150.

He was also charged with burglary of a premises on June 14 at Maynewater Square where a purse containing bank cards was taken.

He was also charged with theft from Boots in Bury St Edmunds where on June 11 toiletries and perfume were stolen to the approximate value of £750 were stolen.

Finally, he was charged with theft where on or about June 11 at Marks and Spencer’s in Bury St Edmunds clothing to the value of £386 was stolen.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court today (July 3). The outcome being he was further remanded in custody until Friday, July 31, to appear before Ipswich Crown Court.
