Two arrested after police find £1,500 worth of crack cocaine
Two people have been arrested in Haverhill in connection with money laundering offences.
Officers had reason to stop a male and woman on The Causeway on Saturday, July 4.
Following a search under the Misuse of Drugs Act a large amount of what is suspected to be crack cocaine, around £1,500 in cash and a knife and a knuckle duster were all recovered from a vehicle.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, money laundering and possession of offensive weapons and theft of a motor vehicle, while a 31-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of money laundering.
Both were taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and were subsequently released under investigation pending further enquiries.
