Three catalytic converter thefts in Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill

Police are appealing for people to remain vigilant after thefts of three catalytic converters in recent days.
One took place on Eriswell Road, in Haverhill, at some point on Tuesday, July 7, at 2pm and 4.55pm, where a catalytic converter was taken from a black Honda Jazz.
There was a further report of one was taken from a silver Honda Civic vehicle parked in Jarman Close, in Bury St Edmunds, sometime between 3.40pm on Tuesday, July 7, and 5.45am on Wednesday, July 8.
A third incident was reported to have taken place between Tuesday, July 7, at 3pm, and 3am, on Wednesday, July 8, outside a property on Glemsford Place, in Haverhill, where a blue Honda Jazz had its catalytic converter stolen.
Please can vehicle owners be vigilant by:
- keeping private vehicles parked in secure garages where possible and if no garage is available, in a well-lit public area.
- Keep commercial vehicles in a locked building or compound
- Use alarms, lighting and CCTV to deter thieves.
