A firm of property law specialists have opened their second West Suffolk office after revealing they were enjoying a post-lockdown “bounce back”.
Adept Property Lawyers has been an established name in the industry for more than 25 years having previously traded as Valentine & Co Property Lawyers.
They have now opened up an office in Gainsborough Street, Sudbury, to compliment their business in Haverhill, as demand for property services continues to increase.
Paul Villars, commercial director at Adept Property Lawyers, admitted: “During lockdown, the housing market was understandably cautious as no one knew how quickly we would recover. As we had decided to continue trading throughout lockdown, we were able to respond quickly once restrictions were eased and we saw an immediate bounce-back.
“The stamp duty holiday has clearly helped with restoring confidence and on recent occasions, we have doubled the amount of new cases that we had before lockdown. It has been really encouraging and we just all hope it continues to progress.”
Mr Villars revealed that Sudbury was always their preferred choice due to the geography of both existing clients and staff.
He said: “We have wanted to expand for a while and we have many clients that are located between Haverhill and Sudbury. This a good location to grow the business, both into Essex and Bury St Edmunds, and we are delighted to have found the right office for us in Sudbury.”
Specialists in property law, Adept offer conveyancing services in buying and selling homes and commercial properties and also will and probate services.
Earlier this year, they rebranded and changed the name – but Karen Young, managing director, said the values of Valentine & Co were a key part of the new offering.
She explained: “We wanted to give the company a fresh new look, but we are certainly proud of our history. As with Jim Valentine, who started the company, we pride ourselves on offering a personal, customer-focused service.”
