The Stowmarket Dementia Action Alliance charity promotes purpose and hope for individual and families with dementia. supporting people living with dementia, their care partners, their circle of influence and dementia specialists to create a better world in which to live with dementia.
Mr Humphreys said: “I decided that I would like to support the Stowmarket Dementia Action Alliance. They do great work in the local community and have helped many who suffer with this terrible disease and have helped to make Stowmarket a more dementia friendly community. I have supported them previously and helped fund dementia friendly film events in the local cinema – a huge success that I hope will continue and I would be delighted to fund.”
Fiona Palmer, chair of Stowmarket Dementia Action Alliance, added: “We are delighted to have been selected and would like to thank councillor Humphreys for choosing us as this year’s chairman’s charity. We have been part of the Stowmarket community since 2015 helping to make it a dementia friendly town.”
