Video: Praise for Theatre Royal’s staging of Dickens’ classic on Angel Hill car park

The production of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” performed on the car park on Angel Hill has been hailed a huge success.
It took place on the days in the lead up to Christmas Day and
Owen Calvert-Lyons, the artistic director and CEO of Theatre Royal,
which staged the performances, has paid huge thanks to those who supported the shows.
He said: “A huge thank you to Taylor Wimpey and Arts Council England for supporting our production of “A Christmas Carol”.
“A massive shout out to our tech team, staff, volunteers, supporting businesses and our audiences.
“Thank you for helping us bring some Christmas cheer to Bury St Edmunds.”
And he added: “This is all about that we continue to provide live theatre for our audiences. Our team worked extraordinarily hard.”
Other comments about the shows have also drawn praise including “It was an outstanding production, a brilliant interpretation of a Dickens’ classic” and “Far exceeding my expectations” plus “Fantastic performance, enthralling and engaging from start to finish”, “Innovative, superbly performed, held our attention for the whole hour”, “Magical, what a treat”, and “Dripping with atmosphere and Christmas spirit”,
